How the White Elephant Works:

• All guests who want to participate bring one wrapped gift.
• Everyone draws a number to set the picking order.
• When it’s your turn, you can:
  • Open a new gift from the pile, or
  • Steal a gift that’s already been opened.
• Each gift can only be stolen a set number of times (you choose: usually 2–3), then it’s “frozen” with its final owner.

Feel free to encourage funny, quirky, or oddly practical gifts — just keep them PG-13 and under $25.
